I had grown tired of the media, so for a while I made do with a few feed readers, but I soon grew tired of aggregators too.

I grew tired of news always told from a perspective that was never mine. But I could not do a newsroom's work every day just for myself.

Then LLMs arrived. At that point, I soon grew tired of AI-powered news, searched, filtered or ranked automatically by LLMs, which will never be the AI or AGI they are passed off as.

So I thought of letting LLMs do only the work they do well, no more, no less. I built the useful automations I needed, and My Station News grew out of those.

This is what it is: a handful of very simple automations to profile the narrating voice that presents a personalised news briefing, starting from other people's content available on the web. There is nothing else behind My Station News: nothing else you really need to receive your news briefing every day, effortlessly.
